About this deal

And since I read Coco Caramel during one of my secondary school years without knowing what it was and yet retained it in my mind the whole time, why not go the extra mile and get myself the whole chocolate box? My favorite character is Coco because of her sweet and adventurous character and her love for all things outdoor. But, when Cherry falls for Honey’s boyfriend, Shay, and her Dad proposes to Charlotte, there’s trouble. She also tells us the life before moving and how she will definitely NOT miss Kirsty McRae and Miss Jardine. Honey and Cherry have many fights, mainly because she suspects that Cherry and Shay are becoming too close to each other.

When they get there, Cherry meets the four sisters: the younger one, Coco, having a personality identical to boys, cute, redhead who loves animals; the twins, Skye and Summer - Skye loves vintage stuff, especially dresses and Summer loves ballet and wants to be a professional dancer one day; and last, but not least, the older one, Honey, the mean one, the blondie, temperamental that still sufferers for Greg, her real father and thinks that he will come back one day, and has the most cutest boyfriend, Shay Fletcher. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. It's also when Cherry feels more in sync with everyone around her and not as on the edge of things as she keeps saying. And her new family comes ready-made with the 4 Tanberry sisters, but best 3/4 because Honey, the oldest sister, is only interested in trying to see her estranged father. After stayed at my book pile for about 5 months, finally i decided to read this when i needed a light reading.

As justified as Shay was to not like the way Honey was treating him, I don't feel enthusiastic about how the climax of this book was handled. She tries to impress and make her stepsisters like her by telling lies about the luxurious life she used to lead back in Glasgow. Cherry comprend que cela ne sert à rien de mentir et avec l'idée de Charlotte, elle décide d'écrire des histoires dans un carnet (offert par Charlotte). Cherry Costello is a cute, dreamer, and good girl (and wow she is half Scottish half Japanese), and she seems living her simple live with her father quite happily, but the main problem is she keeps lying to make herself looks good in front of others and she knows it.As time goes on, it gets harder and harder for Cherry to resist Shay- and more and more noticeable to Honey. In all of them I hav always wanted things to work out with the relationships but this is the first one where I haven't wanted things to work out that way and instead for the main character to work things out with family ! Not having a mother around didn’t help either, particularly when the girls at school realised that she would always make tales up, and lie, because nothing interesting was happening in her life.

As a defence, Cherry creates a fantasy about her mother and her life, and it is only when she begins to feel secure that she can admit to reality. The power and importance of friendship is at the heart of each of her books but most crucially, Cathy brings an element of magic to every story, discovering the magic that exists in every corner, in every day and sprinkling it through her narrative. Cada volum se centra en una de les protagonistes, fet que permet -especialment amb la Summer, la gran- veure la mateixa problemàtica des de perspectives ben diferents. First of all, Cherry is a very sweet and good hearted person but she didn't really come off as a strong character. I never did finish The Chocolate Box Girls though, and now I think it's finally time to go back and binge-read the series.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. She's the only aspect of the book I really didn't like, but I can see that her emotional journey was an important part of her family's lives. Coco was my favourite character because she is very adventures, loves winning and most of all loves animals. When she comes out her hair is incredibly short instead of waist-length and she has a severe hatred of Cherry and Paddy! So when Paddy asks Cherry to move to Somerset together with Charlotte and start a chocolate business, Cherry agrees.

I know I'm supposed to feel sorry for her because of her current situation but I can't even summon a bit of sympathy to her not only because she's acting like a drama queen but because I think her problem is stupid and if I was one of her sisters I'd probably shake her head just so I could get it to jump-start. The only way she got by was telling herself imaginative stories, giving herself new stories and new stories to pretend to live in. It's mainly aimed at 8-12 YEAR olds, though don't be ashamed if you find yourself reading it when you're older! They're definitely the most standout characters of this book and it's honestly what I think I'll be continuing the series for, if not already for the sweets. Cherry and her Dad move to Somerset to live with Charlotte and her four daughters, Honey, Skye, Summer and Coco. The Chocolate Box Girls are her first series of books, excluding Cassidy's series, Daizy Starr, and two loosely linked books, Dizzy and Lucky Star. Overall, this book isn't entirely my cup of tea but I did manage to finish it then again, the book isn't really that long so it wasn't that difficult to finish it immediately. Cathy Cassidy udowadnia jak trudnym zadaniem jest budowanie rodziny od nowa, ze skrawków i niepasujących do siebie kawałków. Yes, she did have a tendency to tell some white lies and be rather economical with the truth but she didn't do any of it to be mean - it was done more as a way to fit in and be liked. Di questa saga ho letto a nove anni il secondo e per mesi lo avevo reso il tratto principale della mia personalità, quindi forse le aspettative erano più alte del dovuto.
