About this deal

The True Match Lumi ended up being the least matte of that lot but all three foundations were quite matte on me and tended to get even more matte as the day wore on.

Regardless of whether I apply one layer or three, it never looks cakey on my skin and it does cover all of my redness and acne while still looking natural. Contains Shine Defy Blotting Spheres that act like blotting paper to mimic makeup artist gesture, instantly absorbing sweat and oil without disturbing color pigments. I’ve actually been skipping powder/cream highlighters entirely this summer because my skin care in combination with the Pro-Glow provides just the right amount of subtle glow. The Pro Matte is one of the best foundations I've ever tried, it works so nicely with my skin without drying it out.

The L'Oreal Pro Glow foundation is a great example of how much later new makeup launches in Australia, compared to the US. There are quite a few swatch images out there and its fairly easy to work out what shade you will be.

This is a medium coverage foundation, and while it doesn’t look shimmery, it is fairly moisturizing and will give anyone’s skin that glowy, dewy finish that you see on the runways. All in all this is a great everyday foundation and I will for sure be purchasing this again in the future. The oilier you are, the oilier this foundation will make you look unless you use some type of mattifier; which defeats the purpose of this foundation. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to dispatch. While my skin is better than it has been in a few months, I do still have quite a bit of discolouration and spots and this has pretty impressive coverage!

Phenyl Trimethicone, Glycerin, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Bis-PEG / PPG-14 / 14 Dimethicone, Dimethicone, Magnesium Sulfate, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Talc, Silica, PEG / PPG / Polybutylene Glycol-8 / 5 / 3 Glycerin, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Dimethicone / Polyglycerin-3 Crosspolymer, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Magnesium Stearate, Silica Silylate, Dipropylene Glycol, Alumina, BHT, Sodium Citrate, Tocopherol, Isopropyl Alcohol. When I was looking at swatches I decided on 202 Creamy Natural which is the second lightest shade available as it looked more neutral toned than the first shade but this shade does have a very slight grey tone to it but it is a perfect match for me, for reference I am Vanilla in the Too Faced Born This Way and an NC15. If you are into more of a full coverage look this isn’t going to be for you, I would suggest trying the L’Oreal Lumi. L’Oreal recently came out with the Infallible Pro-Glow foundation for people with normal to dry skin and being someone with ultra dry skin I knew I had to give it a shot.

When I say that I've been waiting two years for L'Oréal's Infallible Pro-Glow foundation to launch in the UK, I'm not joking. The foundation claims to be a "medium coverage" which seems correct since I only needed one layer and I only used setting powder under my eyes for brightening. L’Oreal hadn’t released it here and with it being a release last summer (I believe), I’m beginning to wonder if they ever will. As you can see in the photos, this emphasized my dry patches, made the fine lines around my mouth and forehead more prominent, accentuated facial hair I never noticed before, and looked cakey around my nose and in between my eyebrows. I know some people like to add a drop of oil to their foundations but I prefer to add my oil during the skin prep step because I find that adding oils to foundation changes the consistency of the foundation and dilutes the coverage so then I need to go back in with an extra bit of foundation.
