About this deal

I've spent the majority of my life saying and doing embarrassing things that wake me up in a cold sweat at 3am as my brain reminds me of every minor detail.

The theme of anxiety is discussed in a personal, introspective way that helps the reader connect with Hayley and emulates fears, vulnerabilities and thoughts that are seen as taboo. However if you're looking for a book to help with the overthinking that comes with anxiety (and the title could lead you to believe you'll get it) then you'd need another book! I was initially encouraged by the opening of the book but it just turned a bit predictable and felt exaggerated and unbelievable. For years, people have been hiding behind their computer screens to bully others to the point where writing criticizing comments is common and celebrated.

Some of the overthinking text was incredibly relatable but 🤷🏻‍♀️ a lot of other non-overthinking stuff wasn’t.Writing Me Vs Brain is not only a dream come true and something I am so excited about; it is also a tribute to my father and everything he taught me. Finally, I overlay the parodies with transcripts of the bullying comments, almost as if I were “subtweeting” them. See raamat on täis erinevaid piinlikku olukordi, millest paras osa jääb küll meile kahe kõrva vahele, samas nii mõnigi kipub ikka päriselu segama. Loved this from start to finish and was sad to get to the end but Hayley describes everything in its truest and rawest form. Extremely relatable, therapy has also greatly helped me grieving, unfortunately not at the time it happened but many years after.

Kuna autor on raamatu kirjutamise ajal minu vaatenurgast üsna noor (29), siis algul tekkis korraks tunne, et kas elu koosnebki pidudest ja pohmakatest. I have been a fan of Hayley’s videos for a while and discovered her less-serious approach to creating content unique from other creators. Confronting overthinking as both a blessing and a curse, Morris explores the moments when the brain and body refuse to co-operate. The stories that resonated the most with me was Hayley’s struggle with finding a career that makes her happy and as a graduate who is in the same position of not knowing what career they want – this was a relatable and comforting element of the book.Overall, this is an enjoyable, amusing and relatable read that should be read by anyone entering their 20s and trying to navigate the world. Century was founded in 1981 and immediately established itself as an exceptionally dynamic publisher of bestselling authors, a tradition continued to this day. Compton said: “ I’m so excited to be working with Hayley whose videos have me howling with laughter and wincing with recognition. I appreciated the raw honestly about Hayley's grief and glad she found writing the book therapeutic.
